Every part of Black.Indie.Ignite. is designed to encourage conversation, collaboration and connection. That happens through fireside chats, hands-on creator labs, shared meals, wellness moments and our closing reception.
No panels here. Just candid conversations with industry leaders and creators about the ideas, challenges and opportunities shaping independent storytelling today.
Turn conversation into action through hands-on sessions designed to help you build skills, develop strategies and apply what you learn to your own projects and career.
Movement, mindfulness and reflection are woven throughout the day, giving you space to reset, recharge and stay connected to your creativity.
Connect over breakfast bites, a full lunch and our closing reception, with plenty of time throughout the day to meet, talk and build relationships.
Black.Indie.Ignite. was created to strengthen local creative communities, bringing filmmakers and creators together in a different city each year to connect, collaborate and discover new ideas.
Attendance is capped at 100 so conversations stay personal, connections can happen naturally and our hands-on labs remain truly hands-on. We also keep ticket prices reasonable so the experience is accessible to more storytellers.
Every ticket includes a full day of programming, breakfast, lunch, Movies & Mimosas and our closing reception.
This year, Black.Indie.Ignite. comes to Brooklyn at Weeksville Heritage Center, located on the site of one of the largest free Black communities in pre-Civil War America. We’re proud to bring Black independent filmmakers and creators together in a place that holds so much Black history.
