Tickets & Registration

How do I get tickets?

Purchase tickets through the registration page. Once registered, you’ll receive a confirmation email with your ticket and event details.

Can I buy tickets at the door?

Door sales are subject to availability. We recommend purchasing in advance, as capacity is intentionally limited.

Are tickets refundable or transferable?

Tickets are non-refundable. If you can no longer attend, please contact us about transferring your ticket to another attendee.

Are all experiences included with my pass?

Yes. There are no VIP tickets, exclusive lounges or separate experiences. Your pass includes access to the full day of programming, continental breakfast, lunch, Movies & Mimosas and the closing reception.

Arrival & Check-In

What time should I arrive?

Registration opens at 9:30 AM Eastern. Programming begins promptly at 10:00 AM Eastern.

How do I check in?

Bring your ticket confirmation, digital is fine, and a valid photo ID.

Program & Sessions

Who should attend Black.Indie.Ignite.?

Black.Indie.Ignite. is designed for Black indie filmmakers, immersive creators, creative technologists, students and anyone interested in independent Black storytelling, creative discovery and community-centered collaboration.

Why is attendance limited?

Black.Indie.Ignite. is intentionally intimate so attendees have time and space for meaningful conversations, creative discovery and genuine connection. Capacity is limited to help preserve that experience.

Do I need to pre-register for sessions?

All sessions are included with your pass. Seating for some activities may be limited and available on a first-come, first-seated basis.

Where can I see the full schedule?

Visit the Event Schedule page for the latest agenda, speakers and session details. All times are listed in Eastern Time.

Will sessions be recorded?

Selected sessions may be photographed or recorded for promotional and archival purposes. By attending, you acknowledge that you may appear in event media.

How do I get to the venue?

Weeksville Heritage Center is accessible via the A, C, 3 and 4 subway lines, as well as local bus routes. There is no dedicated event parking, though limited street parking may be available nearby. We encourage attendees to use public transportation, rideshare or carpooling when possible.

Accessibility

Is the venue accessible?

Yes. The venue includes accessible entrances and restrooms. If you require accommodations, please contact us at least two weeks before the event.

Food & Beverage

Are meals included?

Yes. Your ticket includes continental breakfast, lunch, Movies & Mimosas and a closing reception with wine, champagne and light bites.

Will there be alcohol?

Yes. Mimosas will be served during the screening, and wine and champagne will be available during the closing reception. Valid ID may be required.

Technology

Should I bring a laptop?

We recommend bringing a laptop or tablet if you plan to fully participate in the Google AI Sprint and interactive workshop activities.

Will Wi-Fi be available?

Yes. Complimentary Wi-Fi will be available throughout the venue.

Photos, Recording & Devices

Can I take photos or record?

Personal photos are welcome unless otherwise noted. Please be respectful of speakers, attendees and any restricted sessions.

What is your community policy?

Black.Indie.Ignite. is committed to creating a welcoming, respectful and community-centered environment. Harassment, discrimination or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.

What should I wear?

Come as you are. We recommend comfortable, creative attire that feels like you and works for a full day of conversations, labs, meals and community.

What should I bring?

Bring your ticket confirmation, photo ID, a notebook or device for notes, and any project materials you’d like to share as you connect with fellow attendees.
